Toronto Modern Fireplace TV

This modern fireplace and TV family room was part of a major home renovation that we completed last month.   The scope of the project was very large including building out this new fireplace and TV/wallunit.   The complete space is more than 12 feet wide but the design makes it look complete by incorporate a cabinet doors on the left side with a grey ledge running along the bottom and then a sleek fireplace with tile surround running from the floor to ceiling with a TV in a centrepiece.

Toronto Millwork Fireplace

Our Toronto Custom Concepts team did a great job on the millwork for our client's home renovation project. This fireplace project showcases a more contemporary look around the fireplace flanked on both sides with our upgraded millwork.  We boxed out both side sections and added some baseboard trim at the bottom to match the baseboard profile in the room.   We also installed the millwork along the top section of the fireplace for our client's future artwork.   We also upgraded the marble surround and the matching marble hearth to give it a brand new fresh look.

Fireplace Wallunit Before & After

This family room remodeling project by Toronto Custom Concepts includes a full demo, redesign and rebuild of a new floor to ceiling stone fireplace, along with a new custom built wallunit with TV entertainment system, new hardwood flooring, and a Juliet balcony on the upper floor with wrought iron pickets.   The new design also included rewiring new electrical to embed LED pot lights through out our clients home.

Stone Block Accent Fireplace Wall

Toronto Custom Concepts just wrapped up this recent renovation that was highlight by this off white and light grey stone accent wall.   The random pattern of the stones also provides the wall with nice texture since each stone protrudes out to a different distance from the back wall.

The accent wall is highlighted by a sleek linear fireplace located in the centre of the wall.  To provide addition counter-balanced symmetry to the wall, we have also installed these contemporary wall sconces to provide additional accent lighting... Let us know if you like our design!

Oakville Contemporary Fireplace Renovation

We just wrapped up another contemporary fireplace renovation.   This project scope included the removal of the previous fireplace insert, mantel and surround.   Our client selected a contemporary fireplace insert with a higher BTU classification so we needed to get our gas technician to come in and retrofit the gas connections.  Once that was all taken care we created a custom dark walnut mantel to compliment the light quartz that surrounded the gas fireplace insert

Toronto Stone Fireplace Remodel

This stone fireplace renovation project led by Toronto Custom Concepts was part of an initial phase of an entire home renovation project.   The old fireplace was scaled back to its bare bones.  The traditional fireplace mantel, surround, facing and hearth were all carefully removed to allow for the transformational remodel to begin.

The process first step of the fireplace remodel was to plan out the design to plan for a rich textured effect using large stacked stones in a random fitted pattern.   Our clients wanted four staggered wood shelves running vertically up the fireplace.   The stone fireplace was designed with two focused potlights accenting the top wood mantel shelves.  An embedded niche has been incorporated in the centre of the fireplace between the first and second tier of wood mantels.

The stone is a mountain cultured stone laid with a staggered alternating light and dark colour pattern.  The mantels are top grade maple and the hearth is a Wiarton natural stone.

The fireplace stones running diagonally up the sloped ceiling provide nice continuity to the eye especially with the massive size of this family room.   The fireplace is 22 feet high to be proportional to the rest of the open concept family room.

This stone fireplace built in a high ceiling cottage is the focal point for your eye in this beautiful cottage.  The layout of the stones is time consuming, but if done properly will result in a nice pattern that matches nicely with the rustic theme of most cottages.
