Toronto Custom Desk
This custom desk by Toronto Custom Concepts was built to the exact measurements of our clients upstairs office. You can see that the desk is built with open shelving above and closed pull out drawers running along both sides of the desk for additional storage and built-in seating above. The design is perfectly balanced on both sides of the room with the two windows (one of each side) providing perfect symmetry to the room. Great result that our client loves!

Wall Unit Renovation by Toronto Custom Concepts
This TCC wall unit renovation for one of our repeat clients in the Lakeshore area of Etobicoke was another great project whereby we did a remodel of their existing fireplace on their main floor to provide a new stone facade and also to provide additional storage via new built-in wall units on each side of the fireplace and TV.
The lower wall unit cabinets were built with a white shaker door style highlighted with a black mesh insert for hiding away electronic components and the TV receiver.
The stone refacing highlights natural orange and beige undertones and it matches well with the espresso coloured sliding ladder that runs laterally beside the wall unit.
The shades of grey in the stonework are brought out by the black TV.
Hope you like this renovation by Toronto Custom Concepts....

Burlington Office Built-in Wall Unis
This custom office wall unit is coming up for completion soon, but we wanted to share how nice the renovation project is coming along.
As you can see, the wall unit is accented by lighting sconces on both sides of the custom wall to wall built-in. The lower cabinets extend out further than the upper cabinets.

White Wall Unit
This white wall unit we just completed in the Danforth area in Toronto was an exciting project with a great client who wanted to hide their extensive music and media collection and still maintain an elegant style to their family room.
Here are some pictures of the white wall unit including both the left and right side of the built-in wall unit. Check out more examples of our built-in wall units here

Toronto Bookcases
When considering a bookcase, there are always a few things you should consider before engaging a contractor to custom build your bookcase. Lets start off with the following:
1) Booksize - determine the size of your largest book and the average of your existing books collection. Believe it or not but we have seen some customers with a fully installed custom bookcase and yet some books are sitting on the floor beside the bookcase, as the books are unable to fit or they are awkwardly positioned sitting sideways on a shelf
2) Book Weight - it doesnt appear to seem like a big thing, but the weight of dozens of thick books jammed together, it can have a warping effect on thinner shelves that have wide distances between vertical gables
3) Book Accessibility - for those folks who want higher shelving, make sure you do a high reach test. If you can't reach the top shelf easily, maybe consider incorporating a sliding rail ladder into your design. They often come in 3, 5, and 7 step combinations and have a wide range of price points. They are not only functional, but they also add an element of class to your custom bookcase.
Take care
