Laundry Room Organization

First step to laundry room organization is to figure out the future placement of your washer and dryer units (side by side, stacked, recessed etc) while working within your available laundry room real estate .....and then assessing the associated plumbing needs such as faucets, sinks, drains...throw in some electrical work and dryer ventilation and you have more that a just a quick Saturday afternoon project.

Here is a job that we did some custom cabinets under the sink that also offers tonnes of new countertop space and plus hideaway storage for dirty laundry while building in the machines to flow with the organizational layout of the laundry room.

Dining Room Entryway

This Dining Room Entryway uses an amazing collection of colour and style all wrapped together into a single theme.  We came in to the client to replace the existing wood columns with new custom individual black slats on both sides of the dining room entryway.

With embedded potlights hidden behind double custom slats towers, it provides a wonderful lighting effect to the dining room entrance.

Terrific accents and accessories by the homeowner bring this room together very nicely

Built-ins For Angled Ceilings and Lofts

When considering a built-in for your angled lofted ceilings, one consider always take into consideration how to best utilized the space.  Accuracy and precision measurements are a must when building a custom built-in unit for your angled spaces.  A degree of mismeasurement can result in a non-fitting bookcase or wallunit that will disappoint the customer and their guests.

Take a look at this built-in we designed and had installed this week.

You can appreciate the importance of exact measurements when building a unit like this....but when it is done right, the end result is simply fantastic

Closet Hamper Tilt Out

For closet organization, one of the best ideas to try and incorporate into your custom design is a closet hamper.   These units seemlessly blend into your closets, due to the matching cabinet doors that front the hamper.  These closet hampers come in a tilt out or pull out variations.

Here is picture of a hamper system we did recently.

As you can see this neatly hides away any laundry.  One thing to consider is the amount of laundry and how frequently you get your clothes washed....Good thing that these hampers come in a variety of different size ;)

Small Bathroom Vanities

When looking to upgrade your bathroom vanity for a smaller, tighter space, there are a few tips you may want to keep in mind to make a small bathroom seem bigger than it is....

-install white/lighter coloured vanity countertops
-consider purchasing a non-standard sink shape to better fit in tighter spaces (rectangles, long ovals, squares etc...)
-use lighter cabinet drawer shades
-leverage under the countertop space to hide supplies etc...

Here is a picture of one we completed recently...it is only 18" deep, but a more than wide enough sink for the space...Take Care...
