Toronto Wardrobe Closet

This wardrobe closet by Toronto Custom Concepts is a beautiful custom storage unit that was specifically designed and built to the specifications of our client.   As you can see, we have designed three separate sections in this wardrobe closet with the outer left and outer right sections containing lower hung areas for hanging clothes, and the upper sections with embedded pull-downs.   The middle section also contains a pull-down bar on the top half and the bottom section contains 4 pull-out drawers.  We hope you like the design and final product of this Toronto wardrobe closet.

This wardrobe closet located in the west part of the GTA in an Oakville condo was a wall to wall, floor to ceiling custom wardrobe closet built to the exact specifications of this master bedroom.   The four section provide ample storage for our clients clothing and organizational needs.  The 3 right sections were all the same size with the one on the left being slightly shorter due to the step down section in the bedroom.

This Toronto custom closet project was part of an entire home renovation so this closet was framed from the ground up to exact measurements.  As you can see, we incorporated a section for long hanging jackets along with two half hanging sections along with a series of shoe compartments.  The exterior was completed in a glossy grey finish with a open shelf for daily use items such as mobile phones, keys, wallet etc...  Hope you like it!

As an aside, we just wanted to point out one storage topic of interest...

The picture on the left showcases one of our design configurations for leveraging the wasted space typically associated with closet corners (fyi...we have 4 different designs to make better use of a closet corner).  In the photo on the right, I have taken advantage of my corner hidden storage space by adding 2 suitcase luggages on the corner hidden shelves (one is located on the top shelf and the other one on the bottom shelf).  This design is perfect for those folks who travel often but don't want to see their suitcases when they are not on the road travelling...Clean and simple storage by TCC.

Toronto Custom Closets

TCC finished another large custom closet renovation which included six separate sections.  The closet sections included a vanity hutch with pull out drawers, a women's shoe display & rack system, a men's double hung section for hanging suits, jackets and pants.  We then did another area which included a women's purse display section, rounded double hung corner bars, and a long hanging section for evening dresses.   Let us know your thoughts about this closet remodel project.

Toronto Storage Wars Idea

One of our Toronto client's storage requirement was to figure out how to make the best use of this landing space beside their downstairs staircase for neatly storing their articles yet still showcasing that it was a custom built design that worked with the room layout

You can see the integrated seating area, uppers and lower cabinets for storage of both big and smaller parcels, and the angled shelving that you can see on a 45 degree for easy access to their smaller items, pictures etc...Great storage design idea!

New Cabinet Styles and Colours

Our new 2013 cabinet styles and colours have arrived, so in addition to our existing selection of various cabinet doors and drawers that we have been offering, we are pleased to introduce over another 20+ style and colour combinations to suit anyone's taste.  Here are a couple of examples of the new styles and colours that we are adding to our line-up...

 

Colours such as Tuxedo, White Chocolate, Aria, Milk Chocolate, Zambukka to name a few...With new shaker, slabs and traditional styles added to the mix....There is something new that everyone will love!

Closet Hamper Tilt Out

For closet organization, one of the best ideas to try and incorporate into your custom design is a closet hamper.   These units seemlessly blend into your closets, due to the matching cabinet doors that front the hamper.  These closet hampers come in a tilt out or pull out variations.

Here is picture of a hamper system we did recently.

As you can see this neatly hides away any laundry.  One thing to consider is the amount of laundry and how frequently you get your clothes washed....Good thing that these hampers come in a variety of different size ;)

Shoe Storage Systems

Shoe Storage Systems are the latest craze for the world of organized closets.
They are GREAT for managing your everyday shoes from your dressy shoes.  You can incorporate longer ones for storaging your boots or smaller ones for the kids shoes instead.

For those of you looking for easy access to your belongings within your builtin closet, consider the following useful closet accessory....the sliding wire basket!

Closet Pant Racks

One of the most common feature recently that many of our clients are asking for is closet pant racks.

Some of the reasons folks like these are:
-easy organization of pants
-quick access to 12 or more pants at a time
-colour options including chrome, copper, bronze to name a few
-space savers compared to traditional pant organization systems

Toronto Closet Design Ideas

With the recent population growth in Toronto over the past decade, many people are looking for closet design ideas that maximize space and usability.

So....what should one consider when designing their closet? 

Lets start by looking at how you currently organize your space.  Consider the following:  Are you currently utilizing all the available space in your closet to its full potential? If not, how come?  Most people have enough closet 'real estate' but many do not have the ideal layout for their storage needs, so space is often underutilized or wasted needlessly.

So where to begin?   Lets start by looking at your current clothing needs and take stock of your current clothing inventory....So count the percentage of clothing categories that you use and how you manage them presently...For example, do you wear suits, do you wear sweaters, do you keep a shoe collection in your closet, how do you put-away your ties... etc....etc...

Once you collected your 'closet inventory' and respective percentages, next figure out the ratio of hanging items vs put-away items via shelves and drawers.  Once you figure out those metrics, it will make your closet design project much easier.

Closet Islands - Functional and Stylish

Considering a closet island as your centerpiece to your closet upgrade project?  I don't blame you, custom closet islands are one of the hottest requested items that we are hearing from our closet business.

Folks love to be able to layout what they are going to wear on a granite closet island.  Similar to a kitchen island whereby you layout hor dourves and appetizers for a party, you would similarily layout an evening dress or suit, shirt, and tie combo on it for a formal evening dinner.
