This Burlington wall unit was part of a large home renovation project.   Our client wanted a new wall unit to be exactly centred between the two columns.  We provided a perfect balance with the fireplace surround, lower cabinet doors and open cabinet shelves above.   Hope you enjoy the end results!

Oakville Wine Cellars

This Oakville wine cellars renovation completed last month by Toronto Custom Concepts showcases a more contemporary design to highlight a smaller collection of wines in a home.   The wine cellar display leverages the amazing wall wine racks from VintageView.   These wine racks have a sleek design to them to allow people's attention to be drawn to the wine bottles on display rather that to the racking hardware.   These steel wine racks are well designed and very sturdy when installed correctly. The VintageView racks come in a variety of finishes.    We used the Black Satin finish on this project, but they also come in a Platinum (brushed Nickel), Black Chrome, and Chrome finish to suit your design and colour patterns.   The wine rack can be stacked vertically and they come in a variety of sizes including 12 inch (3 bottles), 24 inch (6 bottles), 36 inch (9 bottles), 48 inch (12 bottles).  The rack also come in 3 different bottle depths (single, double or triple bottles deep).

This basement office renovation by Toronto Custom Concepts was a speedy renovation whereby our client wanted to be in his office in 3 weeks from initial consultation.   The scope of the basement office renovation included a tear-down of their existing basement, panel upgrade by the licensed electrian, plus 1500 sq ft of new framing, drywall, flooring, trim and painting with a couple of separate offices built-out.

This basement renovation by TorontoCC was focused on building out a man cave games room area. This project included the rec room with flat screen TV, signed sports memorabilia and pool table.

So we built out the man cave basement with a design layout that would accommodate a large open area for a pool/snooker table.   A couple of important elements need to be considered when it comes to building out a pool table area.   One is the size of the table...pool tables vary in size and some snooker tables are very large.   For this particular client they selected a 4 x 8 table which is a standard size.   Now one must also consider a 4 foot open area surrounding the pool table on all sides to account for the necessary room for shooting with the pool cue.   Smaller cues are available for tight areas, but pool pros prefer the full sized cues.   Next, one must consider ample seating around a pool table as the majority of the players are watching one player shoot.    Often higher barstool are great for watching pool....especially the ones with built-in cue and drink holders :)

When it comes to making the best use of smaller rooms and spaces, we try and incorporate pocket doors where-ever possible.   They are fantastic for spaces that need privacy but do not necessary have ample size to account for the swing path of traditional doors.   Pocket doors can also provide a sleek contemporary look to match a design layout for a room.  Here is one from a recent project we completed.

This Oakville basement renovation was completed with a section of the renovation focused on a home gym.  The basement gym renovation included a thick under-pad of Safe n' Sound to cushion any impact.  The renovation included a custom built-in for workout accessories, music & water bottles.

Toronto Basement Workout Studio

This basement workout studio located in Forest Hill Toronto was a recently completed renovation by Toronto Custom Concepts.  The ballet/exercise studio was sectioned off from the other half of the finished basement and it includes beautiful hardwood floors, mirrored wall, flat screen TV, dual entry doors.   You can also see the wall mounted ballet bars anchored along the wall running length wise perpendicular to the wall mirrors

Installing a mirrored exercise wall offers a workout area with a functional purpose as well as both a decorative and design element as well.  Mirrored walls expand the space and give the illusion that the room is double its size.

Floor to ceiling and wall to wall mirrors need to measured exactly and there is no room for error. Measuring walls, ceiling and floors that are not perfectly square and level make this a very tricky request, but as you can see from this Toronto basement project, this mirrored exercise wall is the perfect accessory for those who are looking to keep fit!

Building custom heating vent covers adds that extra bit of a personalized touch to any project. Custom heat covers provide an elegant design that allow you to camouflage your home HVAC infrastructure to the rooms in your home.  Here is an example of a custom heating vent cover we just completed in a work-out ballet studio in Toronto.   As you can see...the mirrored vent cover blends in perfectly with the wall to wall mirror.  Very nice touch!
